At Justabout Wealth Management, we are not estate planning attorneys, but we work closely with clients and their attorneys in several areas. Many new clients who come to us do not have an estate plan in place. That can be severely detrimental to passing assets on to the next generation. We immediately recommend that they hire an attorney to complete wills, living wills/medical directives, and powers of attorney.

We meet with clients and their estate attorneys to help in mapping out strategies that make sense. We also help our clients in the area of gifting. For clients who are looking to pass money on to the next generation, we can help them to set up annual gifting. Some clients choose to gift up to the annual limits to avoid filing a gift tax return, but others choose to gift more. That is a strategy we can discuss with them and their estate planning attorneys to see if it makes sense.
